01 November 17 - Pancreatic Cancer Action - My Story

Today marks the One year anniversary that my lovely Dad passed away, after his brief but heroic battle with Pancreatic Cancer, aged just 55.

Since his death I have been determined to give something back...to raise awareness for this horrific disease.
26 people are newly diagnosed with this disease everyday - symptoms including stomach pains, nausea, fatigue, back pain and loss of appetite are not generally a major cause for concern, however these symptoms are all signs of Pancreatic Cancer and an early diagnosis is vital to increase chances of survival.

My Dad's cancer was already at Stage 4 when detected, which meant it was untreatable and he lasted only 9 weeks from diagnosis to his death. He spent his last few weeks at a Sue Ryder Hospice not far from his home where he received the most incredible treatment and care - something I'll be forever thankful for 💕

As well as participating in the Great North Run and contributing to various other fundraising events throughout the UK - we will very soon be raising awareness more locally and linking our business into some exciting FUNdraising events 🏰🏰🏰 Keep an eye out for some of our upcoming projects, raising awareness and money for some truly great causes.
